It’s that time of the year where NANOWRIMO makes another special appearance in my life, and I am falling over myself when it comes to what I want to write.
I have two different stories that I have been outlining for the life of me.
- Story A: about a solar-powered girl who lives in a time where the imminent extinction of the sun is super close. It is a sci-fi tale where she has to break her methodical built-in routine in order to travel and find a way to survive. I see her traveling with adorable animal companion (not yet decided on) named Garrison, and a young boy with amputated limbs who struggles to feel human despite his robotic qualities.
- Story B: a group of people are told they have an unknown, incurable disease with only weeks left to live, but unknown to their knowledge, they are the control group for a clinical study of human behavior when given information on their last days. Portal meets 50/50 (maybe?)
Works in progress, but I have also been working on three separate novels that I had started during previous NANOWRIMO events and never finished.
This year will be different!
